Overview

Bank Robbers: The Last Great Heist is based on the true story of Argentina’s infamous 2006 bank heist from the perpetrators themselves. The film follows a group of criminals who managed to rob a Buenos Aires bank, hold 23 people hostage, and make their escape by way of an elaborate tunnel and safe system beneath the bank.

Weeks after the heist, the plan came crashing down when detectives caught Beto de la Torre, one of the robbers, after his wife cooperated with the police.
