The CEO of Tesla Elon Musk said that he has launched a new perfume named “Burnt Hair” and sold $1 million worth of the perfume these days.
On the platform on Wednesday Musk wrote “Please buy my perfume, so I can buy Twitter,”.
Elon Musk is expected to complete around $44-billion takeover of Twitter by the end of this month. If he fails to do so, a trial for a breach-of-contract suit in the on-again-off-again deal will take place in the month of November.
On Tuesday the SpaceX founder said that he had already sold around 10000 bottles of the new fragrance.
Elon Musk joked on his Twitter account, he said “With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable why did I even fight it for so long!?”
The world’s-richest man’s (Elon Musk) Twitter bio now describes him as a “Perfume Saller” and a link to the product’s sale page with the website for his startup The Boring Company is included as a pinned tweet on his Twitter account.
The advertisement for the perfume shows a ruby red bottle with the name engraved on the front in the script.
The tagline of the perfume is “The Essence of Repugnant Desire.” Each bottle’s price is around $100.
Musk is no stranger to his jokes which are going viral online thanks to his legions of fans. The world’s richest man has marketed many unusual products in the past that make reference to his sense of humor.
