What is Shahmaran about?

The Turkish fantasy drama series ‘Shahmaran’ is about a half snake + half woman. The genders are flipped in this series and the Sahsu goes on the journey and finds himself in the midst of an unusual and mysterious community called the ‘Mar’ descended from Shahmaran.

Sahsu left his mother in Adana years ago and is now determined to face her grandfather. Believing in the legend of Shahmaran, one of the most significant symbols of love and wisdom, the Mar people await the fulfillment of historical prophecy with the arrival of Sahsu. In this series Serenay Sarikaya and Burak Deniz as the two lovers.
