Grishaverse Books Series In The Order by Leigh Bardugo

Grishaverse will take you on the journey of a different world, where you will meet the amplifier of the sun summoner Alina and the king of the darkness Darkling, young-adult fantasy-adventure books series by Leigh Bardugo. Grishaverse has 3 different series of books. The first book series of the Grishaverse is THE SHADOW AND BONE TRILOGY. 

The Shadow and Bone Trilogy, also known as the Grisha Trilogy, is a series of three separate books. Netflix TV-Series Shadow and Bone is based on this series of books. The Trilogy has Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising.

Several short stories and the Six of Crows Duology, and King Of Scar are also set in the same universe. Six of Crows series of books contains two books, of which the first one is Six of Crows and the second one is the Crooked Kingdom. 

Another series is King of Scars: King of Scars Duology. This series also contains two books, and of which the first one is King of Scars, and the second book is Rule of Wolves. The combined series of all these books are famous as Grisha Universe or Grishaverse of Leigh Bardugo.

1. SHADOW AND BONE TRILOGY |  GRISHAVERSE BOOK SERIES

Grishaverse Books Series | Grishaverse Series In The Order(2012-2021)Published in 2012, Shadow and Bone was the first book of the Grishaverse. This book follows Alina’s journey and discovering that she’s the most excellent amplifier of Sun Summoner, for whom the entire Grisha community was waiting for a long time because she is the one who can destroy the dark Shadow and her training to destroy the Fold under the Darkling. If you have watched NETFLIX SERIES SHADOW AND BONE, you will see the book ends in the same place as the series; Alina decides to seek to find new ways and continue her training.

The second book of the Shadow and bone Trilogy is Siege and Storm; this part starts with Alina and Mal (Alina’s childhood friend and her lover) getting captured by Darkling; yes, he is still alive. But they escape to Os Alta, with the help of a pirate, a new character named Strumhond; at Os, Alta Alina becomes the new commander of the Second Army and continues her search for another amplifier, the sea whip.

Ruin and Rising is the final part of the trilogy of Shadow and bone. Here is the final standoff between Alina and the Darkling for the fate of Ravka. Alina is weakened and now living underground with zealots who worship her as a Saint. She searches for the last amplifier, The Firebird, and also unravels the Darkling’s secrets and. Ruin and Rising also focus on the son of Ravka’s previous king and queen, Prince Nikolai, who wants to form an alliance between Grisha and non-Grisha and marry Alina. At the end of this book, you will get answers for both; what will happen to the Fold? Whether Alina and Mal end up together?

2. SIX OF CROWS CROWS DUOLOGY | GRISHAVERSE BOOK SERIES

Six of Crows Duology is the second series of the Grishaverse. Six of Crows was published two years after the events of the Shadow and Bone trilogy. This part of the series follows Kaz and his team of Crows; they plan to heist that will make them rich and save the world; similar you may know that they have done the same in season one of Shadow and Bone.

Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Nina, and Matthias are the members of this crew, their first appearance in the books. There’s also a sixth Crow, Wylan Van Eck. The crooked Kingdom ends the Crows’ storyline; their plan of the heist has failed now the group decides to work together to save Grisha’s life from everywhere and take revenge on those who’ve wronged them.

However, the Six of Crows takes place after the events of Shadow and Bone, but Duology is also popular as a stand-alone series. If you have not read the Shadow and bone trilogy, you can still read this one. Some Grishaverse fans even recommend reading Six of Crows first, as the book has more diversity and deals more with the world outside of Ravka.

3. KING OF SCARS DUOLOGY | GRISHAVERSE BOOK SERIES

Grishaverse Books Series | Grishaverse Series In The Order(2012-2021)Following the events of Crooked Kingdom, King of Scars Duology follows Prince Nikolai, who is the king of Ravka now, and his struggles to rebuild Ravka, which is affected by the powers of the Darklings. The black powers on both him and the country. In King of Scars, with the help of Zoya, King Nikolai attempts to fight enemies off his borders of Ravka. Also, he will fight the darkness which is growing inside him by the effect of Darkling. Nina’s appearance as a spy in Fjerda where she is helping to save a Grisha. In Rule of Wolves, the second book of the Duology, Nikolai, Zoya, and Nina are dealing with personal demons when a Fjerdan army invades Ravka. They all have to work together to save Ravka’s future.

There are also supplemental stand-alone books that tell the history of the Grishaverse. As for possible continuations of the series, Bardugo told Bustle that she had her mind on some new Grishaverse stories. “I will admit there are Grishaverse stories I really want to tell, there’s a very big door open at the end of Rule of Wolves, but there are a lot of other characters who I found very fascinating, who stepped onto the page in this book and that I would love to see get more developed stories of their own.” At least we, and the Netflix show, have plenty of material while we wait.
