TV-Series Tokyo Ghoul Overview

In this series, a student named Ken Kaneki barely survives a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, his date who reveals herself as a ghoul and tries to eat him.

Tokyo is haunted by ghouls who resemble humans but feast on their flesh. As a ghoul-human hybrid, Ken Kaneki finds himself caught between two worlds.

People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

After recovering, Kaneki discovers that he underwent surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul. This was accomplished because some of Rize’s organs were transferred into his body, and now, like normal ghouls, he must consume human flesh to survive.
