Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, is a cultural and religious day celebrated on 17 March, on the death date of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated in many countries and cities. The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat. It is also celebrated in the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand.

Saint Patrick was a 5th-century Romano-British Christian. It is believed that he was born in Roman Britain, into a wealthy Romano-British family. His father was a deacon and his grandfather was a priest. It is believed that at the age of sixteen, he was kidnapped by Irish raiders and taken as a slave to Gaelic Ireland, and after that, he spent six years there working as a shepherd and that during this time he found God. After making his way home, Patrick went on to become a priest and on 17 March, on the death date of Saint Patrick, St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated.

 Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations have been greatly by the Irish diaspora, especially in North America. In the late 20th century, Saint Patrick’s Day was celebrated as a bigger celebration. People celebrate this day by doing public parades and festivals, Irish traditional music sessions, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks. Famous landmarks have been lit up in green on Saint Patrick’s Day. On Saint Patrick’s Day, people wear green clothes. It is said that  Saint Patrick use to wear the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.
