Johnny Depp Said he’s never struck any woman in his life
Actor Johnny Depp took the stand saying he’s never struck any woman in his life in a Fairfax, Virginia court on Tuesday against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
In his 3-hour testimony, which will continue on Wednesday he spoke in detail about Heard’s allegations of domestic abuse and their relationship. He said “My goal is the truth,”
Johnny Depp is known for his work in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” and is charging Heard for $50 million in a Fairfax County, Virginia court over a 2018 Washington Post in which she wrote about her experience with domestic abuse.
Johnny Depp testifies in Amber Heard Case
Amber Heard had alleged to Depp that he has spoiled her face after throwing a phone at her in their Los Angeles home but he denied the allegation and was not charged with any crime.
Depp told in his testimony that he and Heard had arguments during their relationship but said “Never did I myself reach the point of striking Ms. Heard in any way nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.”
He also described his parent’s relationship and the verbal and physical abuse he and his siblings experienced from their mother. He also reported that his 1st experience of taking controlled substances occurred when he was 11 years old and told that he used to take his mother’s prescription pills just to escape the chaotic nature of what we were living through.
Johnny Depp claims that Heard’s article led to financial losses including his being dropped from Pirates of the Caribbean films after he led the franchise for 15 years.
