Actress Amanda Peet has recently joined the cast of Fatal Attraction. It is a Paramount+ original series. In the series, she will be seen playing the character of Beth Gallagher, a loyal wife to her husband Dan.
The main aim of the series is to reimagine the 80s classic psychose**al thriller of Adrian Lyne having the same name.
The original 1987 cult classic movie is focused on Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas) a married lawyer living an ordinary life. However, everything changes, when he gets into an extra-marital affair with his colleague Alex, (portrayed by Glenn Close).
The main theme of the story is jealousy and control. It is more focused on what happens when Alex gets obsessed with him and tries to ruin his married life. The main cast of the movie contains movie stars Anne Archer as Beth Gallagher.
This film is based was based on the short film Diversion by James Dearden. The film became a hit of that time and earned over $320 million worldwide. The movie later got nominated for the Best Picture category in both Oscar and Golden Globes.
