The movie is set in Toronto, Canada, and follows a young girl named Mei in her life journey. The movie also focuses on Mei’s bond with her mother named Ming.
Ming is the kind of woman who is quite overprotective of her daughter and does everything to keep her daughter close. Ming never had a good relationship with her mother because of which she has struggled a lot in her past life.
Now, Mink wanted everything best for her daughter, and also she does not want Mei to go through with the same pain she has experienced in past. Ming has a strange habit of blaming someone else for Mei’s mistake.

Tyler is one of the main characters of the movie. Initially, he was seen making fun of Mei in every way possible. However, Mei and Tyler become friends as the movie moves further.
Tristan Allerick Chen has given his voice to the character of Tyler.
Tyler is portrayed as a mean and arrogant guy. He likes to make fun of people around him, especially Mie. This habit sometimes creates big problems in his life. In the movie, Tyler is seen changing as he started liking to be on the same page with Mei. In the second half of the movie, Tyler is seen supporting and helping Mei in every possible way.
