Easter 2023: Easter is a Christian festival developed to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. In the New Testament, it is mentioned that Jesus’s resurrection took place on the third day after his burial.
In Christianity, the week before Easter is referred to as Holy Week. The Holidays related to Easter are moveable feasts that do not fall on the same date. The Date of Easter is calculated on the basis of the Lunisolar Calendar (solar year + moon phase).
Easter 2023:
This year Western Orthodox Easter will be celebrated on Sunday, April 17 whereas Eastern Orthodox Ester will be observed on Sunday, April 24. Easter is always observed on a Sunday from March 22 and April 25. Talking about Easter 2023, It will be celebrated on April 9. However, as per Eastern Orthodox Church, Easter 2023 will be celebrated on April 16.
