A widow and bold Dolly Levi is a matchmaker. she goes to new york in search of Horace Vandergelder who was an “unmarried half-a-millionaire” and a young artist named Ambrose, who is in love with Horace’s niece, Ermengarde. but afterward, all the employees of Horace were also involved.
