Series L.A.’s Finest Overview

LAPD analysts Syd Burnett and Nancy McKenna are allowed to ensure Kyle Smith, a little youngster who turns out to be the lone observer to a homicide submitted by Frank Cruz, an authority for the Garza cartel. After Cruz attempts to kidnap Kyle, Syd leaves McKenna to look after him while she goes to visit her alienated dad Joseph for data on Gabriel Knox, who left her for dead during a messed up secret activity while she was with the DEA.

Syd goes to see Knox’s colleague Ray Sherman, yet McKenna is compelled to intercede when his protectors hold her at gunpoint. Cruz abducts Kyle; the LAPD discovers that his mom Claire, a representative of the cartel’s investor, froze one of their records. McKenna mimics Claire to get Cruz to consent to a prisoner trade, however, he attempts to kill her and the police are compelled to draw in Cruz’s men. Cruz himself is killed, however not prior to setting off a projectile.

Syd can save Kyle, who is brought together with his mom. That evening, Ray’s dance club is burnt. His sibling Dante contacts McKenna, cautioning her that Syd crossed a line. McKenna advises him never to call again and hangs up.
