Turning Red
Turning Red is a 2022 American computer-animated fantasy comedy film. Directed by Domee Shi. Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The story is about Meilin “Mei” Lee, a 13-year-old Chinese-Canadian student who transforms into a giant red panda when she feels a strong emotion and because of her family’s past.

Ming Lee Turning Red
Ming Lee is a major character in the film Turning Red. Ming Lee is voiced by Sandra Oh. Ming is the mother of Meilin “Mei” Lee and wife of Jin Lee. She is hard-working and loves her family and out of love, she is strict sometimes with them.
Ming and her daughter Meilin (Mei) have a complex relationship. She is an overbearing mother who wants Mei to be her perfect, dutiful daughter. The two of them do everything together, such as maintain the family temple and get along like friends. sometimes when Mei as a teenager develops new interests, and crush over the boy band 4 Town, Ming disapproves of these changes. Ming is also not a fan of Miriam, Mei’s friend, as she believes her to be a bad influence on her daughter.
Ming is an Asian woman with light skin, brown eyes, and long hair that is tied into a bun at the lower back and a mole under her left eye. She wears a blue and green, wrapped dress with a green blazer, tights, and green heels.
