The Peripheral Trailer Explained

On 8 October (Saturday) Prime Video released the official trailer for their upcoming sci-fi thriller series The Peripheral at New York Comic Con. The show casts Chloë Grace Moretz as a young woman in the year 2032 she travels to 2099 by entering virtual simulations or “Sims” for quick cash to help her pay her dying mother’s medical expenses.

The show The Peripheral is created by the very famous director Scott Smith and the show is based on one of the best-selling novels of 2014, written by the same name William Gibson.

The first episode of the Peripheral will premiere on Prime Video after this month, with a new episode dropping weekly until December. In addition to Moretz, the show The Peripheral casts Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, JJ Feild, T’Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alex Hernandez, Adeline Horan, Amber Rose Revah, and Austin Rising.

The trailer of the show begins with Flynne Fisher (Moretz). She is deciding to enter a “Sim” that her brother Burton (Reynor) was asked to perform a beta test on. In the virtual “Sim,” Flynn experiences a futuristic version of London in 2099 through an avatar.
