Vikings: Valhalla is a spin-off from the History Channel’s hit series. Vikings ran for six seasons on History, before Netflix franchised it to produce the Vikings: Valhalla, which premiered in late February 2022.

Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 Release Date :

Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 started filming in the year 2021 and was finished by November of the same year.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Creator of Vikings: Valhalla series Jeb Stuart said that “season two has been filmed” and they are “in the editing phase now.” He also shared that he is editing the finale for the second season.

There is no official release date for Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 yet. But we expect the series to come out in early 2023. Watch the first look of season 2 in the below clip:

Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 Plotline

In an interview with Newsweek, Stuart dropped some indications about the plot of Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla Season 2. He said, “the Vikings were voyagers, searching the world for new cultures and experiences”.

Who Will Return For Vikings: Valhalla Season 2?

Most of the original cast from the first season will be back in Season 2 of Vikings: Valhalla.

Sam Corlett will likely return as Leif Erikkson, and Frida Gustavsson may return as Leif’s sister, Freydís Eiríksdóttir. Leo Suter may also perform his role as the Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson.

Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson is expected to play the role of Olaf in Season 2, along with Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy and David Oakes as Goodwin.

Some other actors who played major roles in the first season of Vikings: Valhalla, will return. Søren Pilmark (who played the role of Forkbeard) and Bradley Freegard (who played the role of Canute).
