Avatar 4 Has Begun Filming Confirms James Cameron

At the D23 Expo James Cameron announced that Avatar 4 had begun production. To give updates on all the upcoming Avatar sequels Cameron virtually joined the Expo from New Zealand.

With the updates on Avatar 4, James Cameron also gives updates on Avatar 3 he confirms that the filming is continuing. On Avatar 2 which is still in post-production, he said “I’m super excited to be finally finishing up movie two. I know everyone’s been waiting a long time. Hopefully, we’ll show something today, and you can decide if it’s been worth it.”

After giving updates on the sequel he screened some 3D scenes of Avatar 2 which was showcasing the beautiful world of the creatures known as the Na’vi. In the footage, Na’vi is seen swimming in the world of Pandora while watching a video of Sigourney Weaver’s Dr. Grace Augustine. The footage also showed combat in the woods of Pandora and also an argument between Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington’s characters.

We have seen the Character of Saldana and Worthington’s parents in the film and represent a “protecting family,” here Worthington said, “We’ve realized that love and being with family is paramount to what life is, and it’s worth fighting for.”

As the first Avatar film holding the record for the highest-grossing movie of all time, the expectations from the upcoming Avatar: The Way of Water is high.

Avatar 4 is expected to be released on December 18, 2026. The first Avatar will release again in theaters before Avatar: The Way of Water is high which is set to be released on December 16, 2022. (Official Website: Avatar)
