The novel is based on the relationship, Lily Bloom is a college graduate who moves to Boston and she opens her own business there she falls in love with surgeon Ryle Kincaid, who is initially reluctant about having a serious relationship with lily.

Lily has a sudden encounter with her first love. She was forced to make a decision when she was faced with an assault and then she get to know that she is pregnant with Ryle’s child. Atlas helps her, but they cannot be around each other casually. Then, Lily decides to leave Ryle, after the divorce Lily runs into Atlas, and they restart their relationship.
