Lookism is a South Korean anime adaptation of Park Tae-joon’s popular manhwa series of the same name. In this series, The main character is a student named Daniel. The story focuses on the theme of ‘lookism’, the discriminatory treatment of people who are considered unattractive by their peers.

Lookism is Produced by Studio Mir, the studio behind DOTA: Dragon’s Blood and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, the webtoon is written and illustrated by Park Tae-Joon.

Synopsis/ Overview

This series is about The life of Park Hyung Suk (“Daniel Park”), a short, overweight, and unattractive loner who comes from a poor family and is bullied mercilessly every day. He moves away from his old neighborhood to attend school Jae Won High School in Seoul in order to escape his biggest bully, Lee Tae Sung.

Netflix’s upcoming teen anime Lookism, which is based on the popular manhwa of the same name, has released its official trailer today and we are certainly looking forward to seeing the characters come to life in the series.

He takes his frustrations out on his mother, who transfers him to a new school in central Seoul; Although, his life is turned upside down one day after he wakes up in a different body. This body is tall, beautiful, and strong; The ‘cream of the crop’ as his new schoolmates decide… But there’s a problem, he can only switch bodies when the other falls asleep.
