Marilyn Monroe abides by alluring the world more than 60 years after her death in 1962, and her life is once again taking over the big screen in the new film, Blonde, starring Ana de Armas. The supposed repeat, based on a novel by Joyce Carol Oates, investigates some of Marilyn’s romanticized connections, adding her marriage to Arthur Miller. But the film also rethinks some of the starlet’s more obscure connections, adding those with Charlie Chaplin’s son, Charlie “Cass” Chaplin, Jr., and actor Edward G. Robinson’s son, Eddy Robinson, Jr.

Charlie Chaplin, Jr., or Cass Chaplin, was the oldest son of iconic Hollywood actor Charlie Chaplin. There is some demonstration to suggest that Marilyn and Cass were briefly engaged with each other, at least in accordance with Anthony Summers, who wrote a biography on Marilyn’s life titled, Goddess: The Secret Lives of Marilyn Monroe, per RadioTimes.
Cass was coming very close to Marlie, he wanted to keep her relationship with her but his father Chaplin convinced him that Cass should not fall in love or friendship yet. But Cass ignored his father’s words and he started dating Marilyn for several months.

Eddy was also an actor who followed in his famous father’s footsteps. Marilyn and Eddie actually met through Cass, but they only met for a short time apparently, things started warming up while she filming Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
